So many open letters from companies that aren’t making the huge profits that they are used to, suddenly caring about the little people … whom they regularly fight against the rights of and pay as little as possible. The most recent letter mentions the word “sustainable” implying the current situation is static, even though it is changing. Interesting that sustainability isn’t used by these companies in a global context.
The letter asks for a staged opening … which is exactly what is currently happening.
While the letter, by Newcrest Mining, BHP, Wesfarmers, Coca-Cola etc, appears to be quite mild, doesn’t stop the biased propagandist (Shive Prema from the DailyMail) from purposely misinterpreting it as “a furious open letter”.
As always: profits over well-being seem to be the demand from big business.
