When Morrison denounced violent threats, it was the second ‘of course’ that left him on the back foot

Calls for the Australian prime minister to be ripped from parliament, tarred and feathered, then put into a dark hole for the rest of his life for corruption and dereliction of duty … should be denounced, there should be no violence or threats or intimidation. Of course, there are many people who are feeling frustrated, I mean over the last couple years, governments have been dog whistling on what Australians should do. Sure there’s climate inaction, rapist protection, mid-crisis vacations, sports rorts, car-parking rorts, water rorts, pouring money into big corporations for no reason, endless lies, public paid private jets to Murdoch parties, standing against corruption commissions, the list goes on and on. Australians have had a gutfull and want decent governance back in power.
