I have just imported well over 3000 articles from my Tumblr blog, which was an import from my Google+ blog, after Google ended that service. You can easily add articles to Tumblr via your web browser, including on your mobile device; so if you are reading an interesting article then a couple clicks and it is added to your Tumblr. You can add an optional comment. So this is a rapid method to build a site full of content that is interesting to you.
WordPress offers a somewhat simple method to import all of the Tumblr articles into your WordPress. But there are problems. Tumblr nicely extracts titles, but WordPress seems to be unable to find these in about 30% of the cases. Also, occasionally my added comments appear to have been removed.
Now, the question is, do I maintain Tumblr or WordPress?
